Code of conduct for Public Officers drafted
The Commission for Human Rights and Administrative Justice, CHRAJ in collaboration with the Public Services Commission has developed a draft code of conduct for Public Officers in Ghana. The Code sets out values and standards for ethical behaviour and a good conduct at work places.
When passed, the code will help control corruption, and enhance public confidence in the integrity of the Public Services.
The Deputy Commissioner of CHRAJ, Richard Quayson announced this at a Consultative meeting on the code of conduct for selected Public Officers in Koforidua in the Eastern Region.
A Commissioner at the Public Service Commission, Janet Fofie said the meeting is aimed at introducing the Code to Public Officers in the region and to solicit their input into the preparation of the final Code.
