New Judges to Supreme Court vetted

The Appointments Committee of Parliament is vetting the President's nominee's of the Appeal Court to the Supreme Court.  They are Justices Benjamin Teiko Aryeetey, Nasiru Sulemana Gbadegbe and Vida Akoto Bamfo.  

The endorsement of the nominees by the Council of State at its last meeting held in August this year.  

Mr. Justice Aryeetey who was the first to appear told the Committee led by its Chairman, Edward Doe Adjaho that he has been on the bench for 38 years and hopes he is qualified to be appointed to the Supreme Court.  

The two other nominees are yet to appear before the Committee.
