Super Morning Show features on CNN
Ghana's finest broadcaster Joy 99.7 has earned another feather in its cup, filling a news hole on international television channel CNN.
The Super Morning Show (SMS), hosted by Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah, was featured prominently on the global television channel as part of the CNN's special press coverage of the visit of the US President, Barack Obama.
The coverage – done by a team of seasoned journalists from the CNN – was to gauge the views of Ghanaians on the historical visit of Mr Obama.
Mr Obama's visit is his first to sub-Saharan Africa since assuming office in January.
The show was filmed with the host and producers on set with a strong panel which included Mrs Mond Boyd, president of the American Chamber of Commerce, Ghana.
Listeners, caught in the Obama frenzy on Thursday, called in to the show to give expression to their expectations of the visiting president.
Indeed of the various programmes on radio – running into the thousands – the Super Morning Show was the only one that attracted the lenses of the international broadcaster.
The Super Morning Show, produced by Kofi Ansah and assisted by Sedem Ofori, has been an informative resource platform that discusses in detail the issues topping the headlines.
SMS has over the years been synonymous with hosting international media houses and foreign dignitaries.
The show continues to be the most credible platform for news, views and interviews.
