Peter the Whaler: Iyi Dze Ahomka Nyim Koraa!

You certainly are not reading Greek. All that I mean this morning per this title is that, there is no grace in the way and manner Cadman's brother kicked out Robert Ahomka Lindsay from office as Chief Executive of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) and as the Fantes say when something is not pleasing to them; I say that there is no Ahomka in the manner Ahomka Lindsay was kicked out.

Bob Ahomka Lindsay was removed sometime last week and in a very nervy emotional response, this Cape Coaster could not just believe what was happening. I share his grief because these are not normal times.
Cadman's brother has done his thing again, I overheard myself musing. The man who said he'll be President for all looks on helplessly whilst the erratic fringe in his party is romping and stomping in removals and he can't do foko.

How can he expect Ahomka to call him his President? Cadman's brother is gradually turning himself into President of some of the people and not all the people. Hei! old boy! Has it not been said that you can fool some of the people some of the time but you can't fool all the people all of the time? Time will soon catch up with you, brother of Cadman and husband of Naadu as to how sincere you are when after eating at the Castle and not paying tax on your salary you come out and tell us the people that you are President for all of us.

When Cadman's brother was taking office he pretended to be meek and had as his mantra 'I'll be President for all." With that some of us thought that he will be fair and firm and not allow the errant fringe in the NDC to use him to settle scores with certain perceived and imaginary enemies and even real enemies unjustifiably. Alas! weeks on, occurrences have made us revise our notes.

Cadman's brother is only human and ccannot claim the presidency to be for all. Otherwise, how can he check out Bawumia from Bank of Ghana? Bawumia run with Akufo-Addo so that disqualifies him from the Deputy Governorship of the central bank. Kai! Cadman's brother's Ghana is the only place where a Ph.d in Economics can be checked out of office just because he partnered the presidential candidate of an opposing party. Only in Cadman's brother's Ghana. The list of persons Cadman's brother has kicked out of public service is long and growing and that tale will be told later.

Ahomka is your classic example of a well brought up young man, well schooled and well mannered and of course, he eschews laziness and abhors redundancy. As is known, he was sitting his somewhere in Atlanta minding his own business in a well-paying job when Ama Dapaah's son Kufuor went to head hunt him to come to Ghana to turn around GlPC. His biggest mistake yet in his life was to have accepted that position. P.V. Obeng had chaired the G I PC board before and knows the rot that was breeding there. Corruption was the order of the day.

As usual, staff levels were over and above limits and people were simply not fit to occupy certain positions. Ahomka, took a cue from Jesus Christ and cracked the whip. I must say he cracked it real hard and people fell in all directions. He professionalised GIPC and recruited guys who are ready to work. All hell broke loose. Representations were made to even Kufuor to sack him but Kufuor did not mind them. The results of Ahomka's tenure at GIPC are there for all to see.

We remember that Kwesi Ahwoi had done time at GlPC, followed by Kwasi Abeasi and Mrs. Nyarkotey before Ahomka. All these guys and lady did their best but it looks like Cadman's brother thinks that GIPC must be politicised at all costs. Let Cadman's brother continue to politicise every position and thing in this country.

After all, Kwame Nkrumah did the same thing but where it landed him we all know. Cadman's brother can sack everybody in Ghana except his NDC members. When mortals try very hard to play God, some of us laugh because we have seen a lot in this life about such persons and how they end.

Ahomka should dry his tears; has the Bible not said that pearls are of no value to swine? If your pearly self and brain has been jettisoned just go into the Bible and as Jesus Christ told his disciples, shake off the dust from your feet and leave. My further advice to him is that he should just take it easy and consider his options.

Even Kofi Atta Annan suffered a similar fate when he returned from the UN to work in the tourism sector. He was bad mouthed to the extent that he quit and returned to the UN where he rose to be who he became. In his case though, he was not removed from office by the head of state. He just resigned. Weep not, Ahomka, because those who know your worth stand by you.

As for Cadman's brother, let him even take hold of the air we all breath and fish out all who are not NDC members and deprive them of access to air so we all die and leave him and only NDC supporters to rule and stay in Ghana till the end of time.

Whilst at it, I am obliged to let Apetor Rawlings know that when he is sent by Cadman's brother in the name of Ghana, he should not go and talk by heart. When he was in South Africa recently in the name of all of us, Rawlings is reported to have lauded the change that has taken place in that country and told Comrade Jacob Zuma that whilst people like the two of them were listening to the beat of African drums others were listening to classical music; hence the changes that came. I understand why that man flunked his O'Levels at Achimota.

He simply can't grasp things. Yes! In Ghana, there was a change in which party rules but in South Africa there was no change in which party rules. The ANC succeeded itself so who was it who was listening to classical music in that country when Zuma was listening to the rhythms of African drums? Thabo Mbeki? When Mbeki lost out to Zuma in the race to be President of the ANC months before that country's election it was clear who was going to be the next President of South Africa; so no one should compare the change that took place in Ghana to what happened in South Africa. Of course, it is because of the change that took place in Ghana that Ahomka has been sacked.

Apetor Rawlings should know that he himself is so distant from the suffering masses he claimed to have come to redeem. How can a man who educated all his kids in choice schools in the United Kingdom, owns lavish homes in Accra and on the banks of the Volta Lake with a stream of jaguars and other exotic vehicles which all his salaries combined as an airman, head of state and two-term president cannot justity, claim that he is with the ordinary man.

He should gather only his wife and children and tell them that story because even people in the NDC know that he is only telling them Ananse stories when he talks that way.

Weep not, Ahomka! because Cadman's brothern is listening to African drums.
