AAK NDC candidate sure of victory
A 46-year old self-employed National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese (AAK) Constituency in the Central Region, Anthony Christian Dadzie, has promised to deliver the seat in the area to his party in the impending general election slated for December 7, this year.
He has therefore called on the electorate in the area to vote massively for the party in order to regain power and help him to achieve his vision.
Speaking at an exclusive interview with The Chronicle in Cape Coast last week, Dadzie said he would win the seat for the NDC and the people would be better served if the NDC comes back to power.
According to him, he has so far covered 115 villages and towns out of the 148, since April. He also said that throughout his campaign, the people rooted for him and the Presidential candidate of the party, Prof. John Evans Atta Mills, and he therefore advised them to translate the massive support to votes come the actual elections.
Explaining further, Dadzie said that when NDC comes back to power, it will revive the Asebu Fruit Factory in order to arrest the situation of oranges that go rotten when there is a glut in harvest, and to bring the people and farmers out of the misery that they are facing from the collapse of the factory.
He also promised to open a rural bank to serve farmers and the constituents. Dadzie said he will help to create small scale businesses and advice the gainfully employed people in the three traditional areas, namely Asebu, Abura and Kwamankese to develop a savings habit, to enhance domestic savings.
In addition, Dadzie said when NDC is voted back to power, it would establish a Frequency Modulation (FM) Station at Abura Dunkwa, to speed up the development agenda in the district.
Also, Dadzie maintained that the NDC will do well to create a small fishing harbour for fishermen in Moree, the only coastal town in the area.
The self-employed parliamentary candidate added that the NDC would promote education in the area through offering scholarships to the needy but brilliant pupils and students. He therefore implored on the electorate to vote massively for the party.
Dadzie faces Maxwell Baidoo, the NPP parliamentary candidate for AAK, who incidentally hails from the same town, Amosima, as him.
