LEAP now covers aged and disabled

The Livelihood Empowerment Against Power Programme (LEAP) has been extended to cover the aged and the disabled in the society. The programme which started in March this year on a pilot basis has so far benefited one 155 people in the New Juaben Municipality at Kofirdua in the Eastern Regional. The beneficiaries include the people above 65 years without subsistence support, orphans and vulnerable children as well as persons with severe disabilities.
