PTA renovates hostels in Zuarungu SHS
Zuarungu, (UE), May 14, GNA- The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of the Zuarungu Senior High School in the Bolgatanga Municipality have renovated the girls and boys hostels in the school at a total cost of 2,000 Ghana Cedis.
The hostels had deteriorated to an extent that students were afraid to occupy them for fear of getting killed by falling walls or the roofs hence the immediate intervention by the PTA to renovate the buildings.
Mr. Daniel Dubure, Headmaster of the School disclosed this when he conducted Ghana News Agency round the hostels on Wednesday.
He commended the PTA Chairman of the School, Mr. Victor Abagre and the other members for the valuable contribution they made to the school and urged them to continue to support the development of the school.
The School was established in 1946 as the then Middle Boarding School and has been upgraded over the years to a Senior High School.
Mr. Dubure congratulated the Management of Ghacem Cement Company for providing hundred bags of cement for the renovation of the hostels and appealed to the company to do well to assist develop the school.
He appealed to the contractor working on the school's library complex, which is being funded by the Ghana Education Trust Fund to speed up the construction so that students would have early access to
the Library.
