Ugandan Referees For Ghana-Nigeria Clash
FIFA has appointed Ugandan women referees to handle the final U-23 female Olympic qualifier between arch rivals Ghana and Nigeria to be played in Nigeria on March 15.
Aisha Ssemambo will line up alongside compatriots Diana Mukasa, Asha Sonko and Margaret Kubingi to be in charge of the clash between the two West African countries.
Ssemambo is to officiate the March 15 encounter after she put in impressive performances in her last two international assignments.
Diana Mukassa and Asha Sonko would serve as assistant referees on the day, while Kibinga would be the fourth official.
Ugandan Football Federation (FUFA) has expressed delight at the appointment of the women, urging them to continue carrying out their duties with utmost professionalism.
"We are pleased with the performance of these referees and we encourage them to continue displaying brilliant performances as it gives honour to our federation and country at large," FUFA's publicist Rogers Mulindwa said.
