Trawling through my GNA files yesterday, I picked the following news item and didn't know what to make of it...it did bring a little smile to my lips though... I wonder what you will make of it...please enjoy!
Mr Peter Hlovor, Programmes Head for Child rights of the Department of Social Welfare (DSW) in Ho on Wednesday expressed concern about the inability of some parents to guide their children in their jubilation of Black Stars successes during the ongoing African Cup tournament.
Mr Hlovor who was speaking to the GNA in an interview, said it was disappointing that many children, especially young girls, poured onto the streets, some half naked to celebrate the Black Stars.
"We must not allow young children to hang around drinking spots or stay late into the night under the cover of jubilation", he warned.
Mr Hlovor said while children also have the right to celebrate, social implications of unguided celebration by them were grave hence the need to exert social controls.
He urged parents not to lose guard of their responsibilities but monitor the movement of children to control their youthful exuberance.
