NPP retains Osei Ameyaw for Asuogyaman
The Asuogyaman constituency of the New Patriotic Party, in the Eastern Region has kicked-off its campaign for the 2008 general elections, by retaining Kofi Osei Ameyaw as its Parliamentary Candidate.
At an end of year get-together for the polling station chairmen, constituency executives and the rank and file of the party, at Akosombo, the constituency members re-affirmed their confidence in Mr Osei Ameyaw to represent the area in Parliament.
The rank and file of the party, before retaining him, expressed satisfaction at his performance so far, including raising the image of the constituency and bringing honour to area, since he became their MP in 2005.
The constituency particularly expressed appreciation to Mr Osei Ameyaw, who is also the deputy Minister for Tourism and Diaspora Relations for bringing a lot of development projects, scholarships and employment opportunities to the area.
Mr Osei Ameyaw expressed gratitude to the constituents for the confidence reposed in him and promised to continue his good works, to uplift the image of the area, whilst promising to bring more development projects to the area.
The MP, addressing the constituents enumerated the numerous achievements of the NPP government and appealed to the people and Ghanaians to return the party to power in the December general elections, to continue its good works, maintain economic stability, provide a conducive business environment, create jobs and enhance the peace and security the country currently enjoys.
The MP rewarded all polling station chairpersons, constituency executives, rank and file of the party for their loyalty to the party over the years.
