Cape Coast Assembly hands over medical equipment to Brofoyedur Health Centre and Kotokoraba Market Clinic
The Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly (CCMA), led by the Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. George Justice Arthur, has handed over medical equipment to the Cape Coast Metro Health Directorate to strengthen healthcare delivery within the metropolis.
The handover ceremony was attended by the Metro Co-ordinating Director, Mr. Asumah Adam Braimah, and the Advisor to the Member of Parliament for Cape Coast South, Mr. Eric Ahianyo.
The equipment was received by the Metro Health Director, Dr. Samuel Kwabena Ofosu, and is intended for installation and use at the previously commissioned Brofoyedur Health Centre and the newly established Kotokoraba Market Clinic.
Addressing the media, Hon. George Justice Arthur reaffirmed the Assembly's commitment to improving healthcare delivery and ensuring that residents have access to essential medical services.
He stressed the Assembly's readiness to support healthcare facilities across the metropolis and urged health workers at the two facilities to take proper care of the equipment to ensure its effective use and long-term maintenance.
According to the MCE, the provision of the equipment forms part of efforts to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and improve service delivery for residents who depend on these facilities.
Receiving the equipment on behalf of the Metro Health Directorate, Dr. Samuel Kwabena Ofosu expressed gratitude to the Assembly for the support.
He assured the Assembly that the equipment would be distributed between the Brofoyedur Health Centre and the Kotokoraba Market Clinic to meet the needs of both facilities.
He further pledged that the equipment would be properly maintained to ensure its continued usefulness in delivering healthcare services to the public.
