PNC to start campaigns mid-January
The Peoples' National Convention (PNC) is to kick-start campaigns for the 2008 elections by the middle of January 2008.
With flag bearers of the New Patriotic Party and the National Democratic Congress already touring the nation to canvass votes and support, the PNC says it has finalised plans to launch a full scale campaign spearheaded by its flag bearer, Dr. Edward Mahama.
Joy News said it learnt the flag bearer was reported to have travelled out of the country but would certainly be back this week to lead the party to prosecute the electioneering campaign.
According to PNC Chairman, Alhaji Ahmed Ramadan, the tour has been planned with Dr. Mahama at the forefront, and would start from the Upper East Region with a sensitization programme for supporters and to thank them for supporting a peaceful and successful congress. They will also be told how the PNC intended to approach the 2008 elections.
