David Selassie Anthony ‘De Accra Mayor’ enters NDC Deputy National Organizer race

David Selassie Anthony, popularly known as “De Accra Mayor” or “Dee Mayor,” has entered the race for the position of Deputy National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Anthony’s decision adds another contender to the growing field of party activists seeking to serve on the NDC’s national executive team.

His political credentials include serving as Deputy Operations Officer on the campaign team of Sammy Gyamfi during his bid for the position of National Communications Officer of the NDC. His appointment to the campaign’s operations team was publicly announced as part of the leadership structure of the campaign.

Anthony has subsequently remained active in NDC political activities, including engagements on party organisation and political issues. Recent public information identifies him as a Deputy National Organizer hopeful in the party’s ongoing internal political processes.

His bid comes as the NDC continues efforts to strengthen its grassroots structures and organisational capacity. The Deputy National Organizer is expected to support the National Organizer in coordinating party activities, mobilisation and engagement with structures across the country.

Anthony’s experience in campaign operations and political mobilisation is expected to form part of his case as he seeks the mandate of NDC delegates.
