Kofi Job Foundation Funds surgery of three needy patients at cost of GH¢50,000
Renowned road contractor Mr. Kofi Gyebi Job and his wife, Dr. Mrs. Esther Okyere Gyebi, have funded the surgery of three needy patients at a cost of almost GH¢50,000.
The support, which came through the Kofi Job Foundation, provided financial support for the three beneficiaries to undergo emergency surgeries and treatments.
This intervention ensured that the three beneficiaries received treatment on time, saving them from life-threatening conditions.
Speaking to OTEC News Reporter Kwame Agyenim Boateng, who doubles as the Public Relations Officer for the Kofi Job Foundation, one of the beneficiaries, Mama Vida, said she was suffering from a hernia which had reached an end stage.
She noted that the high cost of treatment forced her to stop going to the hospital until she ran to the renowned philanthropic couple, Mr. Kofi Gyebi Job and his wife Dr. Esther Okyere Gyebi, for help.
She added that the Kofi Job Foundation found her a surgeon who took her through all the necessary procedures and finally the surgery.
She noted the support was timely, adding that the surgery has brought her great relief.
She thanked the foundation for the help.
Two other patients, a diabetic and a cancer patient, also received treatment and surgery funded by the foundation.
Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr. Kizito, in an interview, said all three cases needed urgent attention.
He noted the recent one, the hernia patient, could have died if she had delayed.
He commended the Kofi Job Foundation for the support.
