3rd MTN masterclass series equips entrepreneurs with skills to thrive in digital economy
MTN Ghana has used the third edition of its Masterclass Series to equip entrepreneurs and business owners with practical knowledge and strategies to take advantage of opportunities in the digital economy.
The programme brought together industry experts and participants for discussions on digital transformation, future skills, partnerships, business growth and the use of technology to expand opportunities.
Held in Accra on Thursday, August 20, 2026, the masterclass was themed “Thriving in the Digital Economy: Unlocking Opportunities in a Digital-First World.”
Speaking at the event, Senior Manager, Products, UX & Design at MTN Ghana, Eric Puplampu, said the programme was designed to move beyond discussions about technology and provide participants with practical knowledge they could apply to their businesses.
“This masterclass is not simply a conversation about technology. There are opportunities to explore practical tools, strategies, and opportunities that businesses can apply to perform, serve customers and build for the future,” he said.
Mr Puplampu said digital connectivity and technology were changing the way businesses operated, created opportunities and reached customers, making it important for businesses to understand and respond strategically to such changes.
He said the programme formed part of MTN Ghana’s commitment to supporting Ghana’s digital transformation by giving businesses and individuals access to the technology, knowledge and support needed to grow.
The masterclass featured a panel discussion on the theme, followed by three specialised breakout sessions.
The sessions focused on future skills, work and opportunities in the AI economy; ecosystems, partnerships and scalable growth networks in a digital world; and influence and connection in a digital-first world.
The programme also provided opportunities for participants to interact directly with experts, share experiences and identify practical ways to apply the lessons to their businesses.
Speaking to the media on the sidelines, Senior Manager in charge of Consumer Marketing at MTN Ghana, Nana Asantewaa Amegashie, said the programme was intended to provide customers with hands-on knowledge to improve the way they operate their businesses.
“The MTN Masterclass is one of the programmes that we have for our customers, basically to give them opportunities to learn hands-on how they can run their businesses and improve in the ways that they do business in Ghana,” she said.
She said more than 120 people attended the programme physically, while others participated through MTN Ghana’s digital platforms.
According to her, people who could not attend in person could still access the sessions online and benefit from the lessons shared by the experts.
Ms Amegashie said the ultimate goal was to help participants improve their businesses and provide them with tools that could support growth.
The programme formed part of the company’s activities aimed at giving value back to its customers, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders who have contributed to its growth over the past 30 years.
