Miracles Aboagye picks nomination forms to contest NPP Communications Director position
Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) 2024 presidential campaign, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, has formally picked his nomination forms to contest the party’s National Communications Director position.
The forms were picked on his behalf on Monday, August 17, by a member of his campaign team, Goodfellow Dei Ofei.
Miracles Aboagye, who is currently on a campaign tour in the Eastern Region, confirmed the development in a social media post on the same day.
“This afternoon, Goodfellow Dei Ofei picked the nomination form on behalf of the team. The momentum is building, as we push towards building the most sophisticated Communications architecture this country has seen,” he wrote.
Miracles Aboagye announced his intention to contest the position on July 12, saying he wanted to strengthen and reposition the NPP’s communication machinery ahead of the 2028 general elections.
He said his proposed communication strategy would focus on effectively projecting the party’s policies, values and vision while strengthening its engagement with Ghanaians.
The National Communications Director is one of the NPP’s key national executive positions and is responsible for coordinating the party’s communication strategy, media relations and public messaging.
Miracles Aboagye served as the Director of Communications for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s 2024 presidential campaign and has held several communication and political roles within the NPP. He also previously served as Municipal Chief Executive for Akuapem North.
In declaring his bid, he said his experience working from the grassroots through to the national campaign level had prepared him for the role.
