DJ K.A returns to Kessben FM after leaked intimate video saga
Kumasi-based radio presenter DJ Kwadwo Adu, popularly known as DJ K.A, has returned to the airwaves of Kessben FM following his absence from duty over a leaked intimate video involving him.
Kessben Media announced his return on Monday, August 17, through a video showing the presenter back in the station’s studio.
“Your favorite DJ is back and it's all joy in the studios of Kessben FM,” the Kumasi-based media house captioned the video.
DJ K.A was pulled off air by Kessben Media in July after a video involving him in what the company described as a “sexually compromising situation” circulated widely on social media.
In a statement issued on Friday, July 24, the company said it had launched an internal investigation into the circumstances surrounding the circulation of the footage.
It also said the presenter would receive counselling, rehabilitation and legal assistance where necessary to help him deal with the trauma arising from the incident.
Kessben Media had also appealed to the public to refrain from sharing the video, citing the sensitive nature of the material, cybersecurity concerns and existing laws governing the possession and circulation of explicit content.
DJ K.A subsequently issued a public apology, taking responsibility for recording the footage and expressing regret over the embarrassment caused to his family, employer, colleagues, fans and the general public.
He, however, denied intentionally circulating the footage and said he did not want misinformation surrounding the incident to overshadow the facts.
