KMA sets August 31 deadline for Asafo-VIP shop allocation verification

The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has directed allottees of shops at its building project at Asafo-VIP, opposite Absa Bank, to submit their allocation documents and evidence of rent payment for verification.

The Assembly has set Monday, August 31, 2026, as the deadline for the submission of the documents.

It cautioned that allottees with valid documents who fail to comply with the notice risk forfeiting their shop allocations.

“The Management of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) wishes to inform the public, specifically allottees of shops of KMA building at Asafo VIP, located opposite the ABSA Bank, to submit their allocation and evidence of rent payment to the Subin Sub-Metro or KMA Main Office as a matter of urgency,” the Assembly said in a public notice issued on Monday, August 17.

The documents are to be submitted to the Subin Sub-Metro Office, located opposite Vienna Hotel, or the Estate Unit at the KMA Main Office in Adum.

The KMA said the verification and validation exercise are being conducted in the interest of all shop allottees.

It urged affected persons to treat the notice with the seriousness it deserves and ensure that their documents are submitted before the deadline.

“It is important to note that any allottee with valid documents who fails to comply with this notice will forfeit their allocation,” the Assembly cautioned.

The KMA said the exercise is intended to verify shop allocations and rent payments relating to the KMA building project at Asafo-VIP.
