NPP regional executive elections underway nationwide
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is conducting its regional executive elections today, Saturday, August 15, as the party intensifies its internal reorganisation ahead of the 2028 general elections.
Delegates across the country are voting to elect regional executives who will be responsible for coordinating the party’s activities and strengthening its organisational structures at the regional level.
The positions up for election include Regional Chairman, First and Second Vice Chairpersons, Secretary, Treasurer, Organiser, Women’s Organiser, Youth Organiser, Communications Officer and Nasara Coordinator.
The regional elections form part of a broader restructuring exercise that commenced with elections at the polling station and constituency levels.
To ensure the process is conducted in accordance with the party’s approved electoral guidelines, the NPP has deployed national representatives to the various regions to monitor and supervise the elections.
The representatives are also expected to submit reports on the conduct of the polls, including any irregularities recorded during the exercise.
The party has directed the various Regional Executive Elections Committees to maintain professionalism, discipline and fairness throughout the process.
The results are expected to be declared after voting ends and ballots have been collated.
