Recording studio burnt to ashes in Kasoa fire outbreak
A recording studio at Kasoa Brigade, opposite DY Academy, in the Central Region, has been destroyed by fire.
The incident occurred on Monday, August 10, with no casualties recorded, according to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).
The Weija Fire Station received a distress call through the Fire Master Control at 3:46pm and dispatched a crew led by ADOII Felix Mensah Afedzo one minute later.
The service said the crew arrived at the scene at 4:05pm and fully extinguished the fire at 4:35pm.
“Upon arrival, firefighters observed that a recording studio was engulfed by fire. They worked swiftly to bring the fire under control at 16:20hrs, preventing further spread to adjoining buildings and properties,” the GNFS said in a statement shared on Tuesday.
According to the GNFS, two bedrooms and their contents were salvaged during the firefighting operation.
The GNFS said investigations are ongoing to determine what caused the fire.
“No casualties were recorded. The cause of fire remains under investigation,” the Service added.
