Here are areas to face outages as ECG announces 4-day power outage scheduled maintenance
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a four-day planned maintenance exercise that will temporarily disrupt power supply to several communities in the Accra East Region.
The exercise is scheduled to run from Monday, August 10 to Thursday, August 13, 2026, with affected customers expected to experience outages between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day.
In a statement issued on Saturday, August 8, ECG said the maintenance works form part of efforts to improve the reliability and quality of electricity supply in the affected communities.
On Monday, August 10, the outage will affect Teiman, Oyarifa, Mr Smith, parts of Ogbodjo, Tsmasiwaa Hospital, Ability and surrounding communities.
On Tuesday, August 11, customers in Ashiyie, parts of Dodowa, Tobinco, Oasis Estate, Manet Junction and adjoining areas will experience interruptions between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
The maintenance exercise will continue on Wednesday, August 12, affecting parts of Labone, Agbogba Zongo, Adenta SDA, Tot-to-Teen School, Top Herbal Clinic, parts of Madina, Libya Quarters and surrounding areas.
On the final day, Thursday, August 13, Achimota School and nearby communities will be affected by the planned maintenance works.
ECG has advised customers in the affected areas to take note of the schedule and make the necessary arrangements ahead of the temporary interruptions in power supply.
