If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen – President Mahama

The writer recollects very well President John Dramani Mahama insulting Ghanaians, mocking them, and underrating their intelligence whenever the heat came to bear upon him like a hellfire. Whenever the going got tough and Ghanaians complained about hard times, the best thing he could do was to find a way to mock them hence earning him the nicknames “President yen ntie obiaa” and “President Odwanfunu”.

Having personally insulted Ghanaians, he is also noticeably a liar for which I don’t blame him for but the entirety of Ghanaians of whom he belittles for having peanut brains that can’t hold memories.

He tells Ghanaians to their face that he will lie to them, telling them half-truths provided the sweet lies will turn their hearts to him to vote for him during elections.

Is it therefore any wonder that he promised Ghana cocoa farmers payment of GHC6,500.00 for the purchase of their dried cocoa beans per bag of 64 kilos from then prevailing price of GHC3,100 but only to come to reduce the price to GHC2587.00?

He knew from the bottom of his heart that the amount of money he was promising them was just for political talk to persuade the mostly deemed unintelligent and short memory Ghanaians to vote for him and his NDC party.

What about the NDC campaigning on providing electricity to cocoa farms to enable farmers work on their farms day and night as in fulfilment of their 24-hour economy and also digging a borehole in every acre of a cocoa farm to help the farmers water their farms all year round to produce cocoa beans throughout the year? This is just by the way.

The president himself being an insulting parrot when the heat came or comes to bear heavily upon him, has the shameless guts to appreciate and offers jobs to those that brazenly insult his political opponents and pardons them when convicted.

The writer has not forgotten about the “Montie three” that made threats against the lives of some Supreme Court judges in July 2016. They were subsequently tried and convicted to four months prison term and a fine of GHC10,000.00 each. The three NDC musketeers were Salifu Maase aka Mugabe (host of the "Pampaso" radio programme), Alistair Nelson, and Godwin Ako Gunn.

However, less than a month or so into their prison sentences, they were pardoned by President Mahama and gotten out of prison as a result of the NDC bearing pressure on him to release them from prison.

Salifu Maase who had constantly been insulting members of NPP on his radio, and hosting equally minded insulters of NPP, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) since 23^rdJuly 2025.

Additionally, President Mahama and his NDC party and government had presumably encouraged, and being encouraging Kevin Ekow Taylor, a Ghanaian sojourner in the USA to insult and lie about NPP personalities and some prominent traditional chiefs in Ghana who are seen as political opponents of President Mahama and NDC.

Without wasting time and space, the writer wants to tell President Mahama and his NDC cronies that if you live in a glass house, don’t throw stones and again, if you throw a ball to the wall, it bounces back to you.

You reap what you sow, so the bible says.
Why have President Mahama and his NDC government through his majority in parliament and his probably conniving judges enacting laws to make it illegal and prosecutable to insult the president and other dignitaries in the country, or for allegedly publishing false information about them?

Was Salifu Maase not doing the same with the support of NDC? Is Kevin Taylor not doing the same but still supported by NDC?

If President Mahama and NDC cannot stand the heat, they had better get out of the kitchen. They had better stop their guys that are insulting and publishing false information about their opponents wherever they are and if any.
