Ghana’s Deputy Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Sanni Jajah dies
The Member of Parliament for Ayawaso North, Yussif Issaka, has announced the death of Ghana’s Deputy Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Sanni Jajah.
In a Facebook post, the MP said Mr Jajah, who was his nephew, passed away on the evening of Saturday, August 9.
Yussif Issaka described the death as a major loss to the family and appealed to the public to remember them in their thoughts and prayers as they come to terms with the loss.
He said the family would announce details of the funeral arrangements and burial in due course.
Sanni Jajah was appointed Deputy Head of Mission at Ghana’s Embassy in Saudi Arabia by President John Dramani Mahama on September 11, 2025.
He worked alongside Ghana’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Alhaji Said Sinare, in managing consular affairs and supporting Ghanaian nationals in the country.
His responsibilities included assisting Ghanaian citizens, particularly pilgrims travelling to Saudi Arabia for the annual Hajj.
