Standard Chartered declares GH¢673.48 million dividend at 56th Annual General Meeting
Standard Chartered Bank Ghana PLC has held its 56th Annual General meeting (AGM) to present its Annual Report and Financial Statements for the year ended 31 December 2025 to its shareholders.
The Bank declared a dividend of GH¢4.989 per ordinary share, amounting to a total payout of GH¢672.35 million, and preference share dividend of GH¢1.13 million resulting in a total payout of GH¢673.48 million after shareholders approved the final dividend at the Bank's 56th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Accra.
The Bank also reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Ghana's economic development as it marks 130 years of continuous operation. This commitment was reinforced during the Board’s engagement with shareholders, where the Bank’s impact and contribution to Ghana’s progress, from trade and infrastructure to wealth creation and cross-border banking solutions were highlighted.
Addressing shareholders, Mr Ebenezer Twum Asante, Chairman of Standard Chartered Bank Ghana PLC, highlighted the bank’s commitment to delivering shareholder value.
He said, "as we reflect on the year under review, our focus remains on positioning the Bank to deliver sustainable value for our shareholders. Looking ahead, Ghana's improving macroeconomic outlook provides grounds for optimism, even as global uncertainties remain. We remain confident in the strength of our franchise, the resilience of our people and the relevance of our strategy. We will continue to support our clients, deepen our contribution to Ghana's economic development and deliver long-term value for our shareholders."
