You are ineffective, inefficient and incompetent – Solomon Owusu fires Godfred Dame
Director of Communication for the United Party (UP), Solomon Owusu has slammed former Attorney-General Godfred Yeboah Dame, describing his handling of the Sedina Tamakloe-Attionu prosecution as “a total waste of our time.”
Speaking on Joy Prime following the Court of Appeal’s decision to acquit former MASLOC Chief Executive Officer Sedina Tamakloe-Attionu, Owusu questioned how the case had been prosecuted.
“When you go into the judgment, there was no substance, no clarity,” he said.
Owusu argued that although Sedina Tamakloe-Attionu faced multiple charges, including causing financial loss to the state, stealing, conspiracy to steal and improper use of state property, the prosecution failed to present a convincing case.
“The mere fact that we know people have stolen, if you are doing a case, make sure you do a watertight case so that nobody gets away with that,” he stated.
He then turned his criticism directly at Dame.
“Godfred Dame was a total waste of our time,” Owusu said, adding that the former Attorney-General was “ineffective, inefficient and incompetent.”
