Long before occupying executive boardrooms, Daniel Osei Yeboah was a university student fascinated by finance and entrepreneurship. While pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Administration (Accounting Option), he looked beyond the lecture halls to create opportunities that would empower his peers.

He co-founded an investment club that later evolved into Totem Financial Services, helping young people understand investing, entrepreneurship, and financial discipline. Working alongside Databank Group, the initiative introduced hundreds of university students to structured investing, years before financial literacy became a national conversation.

Even when plans to undertake National Service through their newly established company were declined, he chose resilience over disappointment, transforming setbacks into stepping stones for future success.

Building Ghana's Financial Landscape

Dr. Yeboah's professional journey reflects a steady rise through Ghana's banking industry.

Beginning at Horizon Finance & Leasing—later Access Bank Ghana PLC—he contributed to the institution's growth during one of the country's most transformative periods in banking. His expertise later earned him a place among the pioneering team that established Royal Bank Limited from the ground up.

His career soon expanded beyond Ghana when he joined Kedari Capital in Lagos, Nigeria, serving as Chief Financial Officer of the holding company overseeing First Atlantic Asset Management and First Atlantic Brokers in Ghana. He then joined Platform Capital Partners as Head of Incubation where start-ups are trained and capital is injected into the business and was also working with Lumiere Group international as Group Head Investment Banking in Ghana, Kenya, Mauritius as well Singapore. There, he supervised financial strategy, governance, regulatory compliance, and investment management across multiple financial institutions.

These experiences shaped him into one of the region's trusted experts in corporate finance, governance, and institutional development.

The Entrepreneurial Spirit

In 2016, Dr. Yeboah took one of the boldest steps of his career by establishing Northstar Home Finance Limited, following the successful transformation of Mace Microfinance into a licensed mortgage finance institution regulated by the Bank of Ghana.

Although the institution later faced capital adequacy challenges, his determination never wavered. He led shareholder negotiations, corporate restructuring, recapitalization efforts, and strategic investor engagements—experiences that further strengthened his expertise in mergers and acquisitions, fundraising, and business recovery.

His entrepreneurial journey became proof that true leadership is measured not by avoiding challenges but by navigating them with courage and vision.

Today, Dr. Yeboah leads JSJ EL Daniels Consult, where he advises financial institutions, investors, entrepreneurs, and corporate organizations on strategic transformation, governance, capital raising, restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and institutional growth.
