Ho Teaching Hospital warns public over fake nurse recruitment scams
The Management of Ho Teaching Hospital has issued a public alert over false information circulating on various platforms that the hospital is currently recruiting nursing staff.
In an immediate release signed by management, the hospital stated categorically that it is not undertaking any recruitment of nursing staff at the moment. It described claims that prospective applicants are being asked to pay money to secure employment as false and misleading.
According to the release, any individual or group claiming to be recruiting on behalf of the hospital is doing so fraudulently and without the authority of management. The hospital stressed that such actions are criminal and do not reflect its official position.
Management further clarified that the Office of the Chief Executive does not charge, request, or receive money from any individual in connection with recruitment or employment. It added that no staff member, agent, or intermediary has been authorized to collect money on behalf of the hospital for employment purposes.
The hospital has strongly cautioned members of the public to remain vigilant and to disregard any request for payment purportedly linked to recruitment at Ho Teaching Hospital. Management noted that individuals who engage in such fraudulent activities are committing offences and will be reported to law enforcement authorities for investigation and prosecution.
The public is being encouraged to report any suspected extortion, solicitation of money, impersonation, or fraudulent activity carried out in the name of Ho Teaching Hospital or the Office of the Chief Executive. Ho Teaching Hospital reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, fairness, and merit-based recruitment. Management assured that whenever recruitment opportunities become available, they will be announced exclusively through the hospital’s official communication channels and other recognized media platforms.
Management has therefore urged the public to verify all information through official sources before taking any action and thanked Ghanaians for their continued trust and support.
