Bekwai MP invests in education, roads and community development

The Member of Parliament for Bekwai, Lawyer Ralph Poku-Adusei, has unveiled another wave of community-focused interventions, investing in education, road infrastructure, market development and public safety as part of efforts to accelerate development across the constituency.

The latest support package, which touched several communities within Bekwai, reflects the MP's commitment to addressing the immediate needs of residents while laying the foundation for long-term growth.

As part of the interventions, Lawyer Poku-Adusei donated GH¢5,000 towards renovation works at the Roman Catholic Kindergarten in Bekwai to improve the learning environment for pupils.

He also committed GH¢15,000 worth of gravels, together with fuel and machinery support, for rehabilitation works on the Kensere-Biribiwomanmu-Pampaso road to enhance accessibility for commuters and farmers.

The MP further supported the completion of the Teachers' Quarters at Amanhyia, a project expected to improve accommodation for teachers and strengthen education delivery in the community.

The foregoing were disclosed by the legislator on his official Facebook page.

In a move to boost local commerce, he assisted traders at Sarfokrom with support towards the construction of a new market shed, while students of Kortwia M.A. Bediako received sponsorship for an educational excursion.

Lawyer Poku-Adusei also donated 10 packets of roofing sheets to the Behenase Cluster of Schools and provided GH¢18,000 in financial assistance to six brilliant but needy tertiary students to enable them to continue their academic pursuits.

His development initiatives extended to Kwamang/Abesewa M/A Basic School Kindergarten, where he donated plastic chairs to improve classroom conditions. At Amoaful, he facilitated the installation of streetlights to improve security and enhance visibility for residents during the night.

Explaining the rationale behind the interventions, the Bekwai legislator said every project was inspired by concerns raised by the people he represents and his determination to provide practical solutions.

He stressed that his vision remains centred on building a self-sufficient Bekwai where quality education, improved infrastructure, economic opportunities and better living conditions are accessible to all.

"The work continues, and I remain committed to building a constituency where every community and every resident has the opportunity to thrive," the MP affirmed.
