Suspected thief nabbed by residents after allegedly breaking into woman's room at Kwesimintsim Sofo Zongo

A suspected thief has been apprehended by residents of Kwesimintsim Sofo Zongo in the Western Region after he was allegedly caught attempting to break into a woman's room in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

According to information gathered, the incident occurred at approximately 3:00 a.m. when the suspect was reportedly seen cutting through the metal sieve window of a woman's room in an apparent attempt to gain entry.

An eyewitness is said to have spotted the suspect during the act and warned him to leave the area. However, despite the warning, the suspect allegedly returned a few minutes later and succeeded in breaking into the same room.

His actions reportedly alerted nearby residents, who quickly mobilized and apprehended him before he could escape. The suspect was subjected to mob action before being restrained by the crowd.

The motive behind the alleged break-in is believed to have been theft, although the full circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear.
