Man who returned from US arrested after allegedly shooting resident in Breman Asikuma

A man who recently returned to Ghana from the United States has been arrested by police after allegedly shooting a resident in Breman Asikuma in the Central Region.

According to reports, the suspect allegedly opened fire on a resident under circumstances that are still being investigated. The incident caused panic in the community as residents rushed to the scene following the gunshot.

Witnesses said the suspect attempted to flee the area immediately after the shooting. However, some residents pursued him and, with the assistance of others, managed to apprehend him before handing him over to the police.

The injured victim was rushed to a nearby health facility for medical treatment, while officers launched investigations into the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Information on the victim's condition has not yet been officially disclosed.

Police have since taken the suspect into custody to assist with investigations. Authorities are expected to determine the motive behind the alleged attack and establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
