GES sets August 15 for dispatch of teacher promotion letters

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced that promotion letters for teachers who passed the recent promotion examination will be dispatched to the Regional Education Directorates from August 15.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, July 28, the GES said the letters will be sent to the regional offices for onward distribution to all qualified teachers across the country.

"Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) wishes to inform all teachers who passed the promotion examination that it is currently working assiduously on the promotion letters," the statement signed by GES PRO Daniel Fenyi, read in part.

According to the Service, the successful teachers will subsequently be placed on the appropriate salary scales by the end of August.

The GES indicated that the process is intended to ensure all eligible teachers receive their promotion letters through the appropriate administrative channels before their salary adjustments take effect.

"The letters will be dispatched to the Regional Educational Directorates from August 15, 2026 for onward distribution to the qualified teachers," the statement read.

The Service added that all qualified teachers will be placed on the appropriate salary scales by August 31.
