Okada rider allegedly attacked with machete over woman in Diaso

An 18-year-old okada rider is recovering from injuries after he was allegedly attacked with a machete following a dispute involving a young woman in Diaso, located in the Upper Denkyira West District of the Central Region.

Speaking to Daily View GH's Dan Kwasi Prince, the victim, Yaw Boakye, popularly known as "Killer Ntua," claimed the incident stemmed from an encounter earlier in the day at an okada station.

According to Boakye, a food vendor identified as Perpetual, who is alleged to be the girlfriend of the suspect, unexpectedly sat on his lap. He said he immediately pushed her away and warned her not to repeat the act.

Boakye alleged that Perpetual became offended by his reaction and later informed her boyfriend, identified only as Enoch, also known as "Awoye," about what had happened.

The victim further claimed that at about 3:00 p.m., while returning from his farm with his parents, Enoch allegedly ran into him with a vehicle, nearly knocking him down before confronting him.

According to Boakye, the suspect then allegedly attacked him with a machete while repeatedly warning him to stay away from his girlfriend. He said he sustained injuries during the assault and further alleged that the suspect attempted to inflict more serious harm, but the machete did not penetrate his body as intended.
