Ashanti Region: Police investigate Chief Inspector over alleged rental of wooden structures to sex workers
The Ashanti Regional Police Command has commenced investigations into allegations that a Chief Inspector owns unauthorised wooden structures at Asafo BB in Kumasi and rents them to commercial sex workers.
The Police said the allegations against the officer, who is stationed in the region, are being treated seriously as investigations continue.
The development follows claims that the wooden structures were being used for commercial activities linked to sex work in the Asafo BB area.
“The Ashanti Regional Police Command has commenced investigations into allegations against a Chief Inspector stationed in the region for allegedly owning unauthorized wooden structures at Asafo BB and renting them out to commercial sex workers," part of a statement issued on July 10, read.
The Command said it will provide updates on the matter as the investigation progresses.
It assured the public of its commitment to addressing allegations involving its personnel and maintaining professional standards within the service.
