Foreign Affairs Ministry to replace passports lost, damaged in floods
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced an expedited process to replace Ghanaian passports lost or damaged during the recent floods that affected parts of the country.
The Ministry said the intervention formed part of efforts to support victims of the disaster, which claimed lives and destroyed property across several communities.
A statement issued by the Ministry condoled with families who lost loved ones and solidarised with all victims.
It said persons whose passports were lost or damaged in the flooding should contact the Ministry on 055 936 8563 between Friday, July 3 and Friday, July 17, 2026 to begin the replacement process.
According to the statement, affected persons would be required to provide their names, dates of birth and gender as contained in the lost or damaged passports, as well as their telephone numbers for follow-up.
The Ministry said it intended to replace all affected passports within one week after the necessary information had been received.
