Otumfuo’s Grand Akwasidae Visit Set to Ignite Asante Pride Across the United States
Bowie, Maryland, USA — The Asante community in the United States, together with Ghanaians across North America, is set to host a momentous cultural gathering as His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, embarks on a historic visit to preside over a special Akwasidae Festival Celebration at Bowie State University, Maryland.
His Majesty will arrive with a distinguished entourage of Paramount Chiefs, Divisional Chiefs, Queen Mothers, traditional leaders, and members of the Asanteman Council, marking one of the largest assemblies of Asante traditional authority ever convened on American soil.
The Akwasidae Festival, one of the most sacred observances in Asanteman, is celebrated to honor the ancestors, preserve cultural heritage, and reinforce unity among the Asante people.
