Pusiga DCE commissions development projects to improve education, healthcare and water access

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Pusiga, Mr. Aguuri Haruna Abdul Rahim, has commissioned six development projects aimed at improving education, healthcare and access to potable water across the district.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Mr. Abdul Rahim reaffirmed the government's commitment to ensuring that development reaches every community.

"The NDC government is committed to ensuring that development reaches every community to improve the lives of our people. We have drilled several boreholes, and today we are commissioning ten of them," he said.

The projects commissioned include a six unit classroom block at Ninkogo, a three unit classroom block at Tindanatinga, renovated teachers' quarters at Kolpeligu, the completed CHPS compound at Yariga Number Two, and ten boreholes constructed across various communities in the district.

Assembly Members and residents who attended the ceremony expressed appreciation to the DCE and the Member of Parliament for bringing development projects closer to their communities.

Speaking on behalf of the teachers, Madam Ruth Abossah thanked President John Dramani Mahama and the DCE for prioritising educational infrastructure to improve teaching and learning in the district.

She, however, appealed to the DCE to facilitate the reroofing of the Ninkogo Primary A classroom block, whose roof was ripped off during a windstorm in May.

According to her, rehabilitating the classroom block would provide adequate learning space for pupils and improve the overall teaching and learning environment in the school.
