Man reportedly electrocuted in flooded room at Alajo

A young man has reportedly died after being electrocuted while attempting to switch off electrical sockets in his flooded room during Monday's heavy rains at Alajo in Accra.

The incident is reported to have occurred on June 29 after torrential rainfall triggered severe flooding in the area.

According to reports, the victim tried to switch off the electricity supply in an effort to protect his television and other electrical appliances from damage as floodwaters entered his room.

He was reportedly electrocuted during the process and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The circumstances surrounding the incident have not yet been officially confirmed, and authorities are expected to investigate the cause of the electrocution.
