Prof Mohammed Muniru Iddrisu assumes office as UDS Vice Chancellor

Prof Mohammed Muniru Iddrisu has officially taken over as Vice Chancellor of the University for Development Studies (UDS), pledging to lead the institution with openness, inclusiveness and transparency.

He assumed office from the outgoing Vice Chancellor, Prof Seidu Al Hassan, during a handover ceremony held on Monday at the Central Administration Block on the university's Tamale Campus.

Delivering his farewell remarks, Prof Al Hassan encouraged his successor to uphold the highest standards of integrity and remain committed to the core values of the university, stressing that principled leadership would be essential to sustaining the institution's progress.

In his acceptance remarks, Prof Iddrisu assured staff, students and stakeholders that his administration would embrace an open-door policy anchored on consultation, accountability and collaboration.

He pledged to work closely with all members of the university community to strengthen academic excellence, promote institutional growth and advance the development of the University for Development Studies.
