MC Portfolio calls for unity and empathy after devastating floods in Ghana

Popular media personality MC Portfolio has appealed to Ghanaians to put aside political, religious, tribal, and sporting rivalries and unite in compassion following the devastating floods caused by today's heavy rains across parts of the country.

In an emotional social media post, MC Portfolio expressed concern over the loss of lives, destruction of property, and the growing number of people left homeless by the floods. He stressed that in moments of tragedy, humanity must take precedence over every form of division.

"At this point where humanity should be paramount, innocent lives being lost, people losing properties and being rendered homeless, anyone still fixated on NPP-NDC, SM-BHIM, Asante-Dormaa, Hearts-Kotoko, Christianity and Islam, Kumasi-Accra, and anything divisive is plainly stupid, and I won't mince words," he wrote.

According to him, disasters such as the current floods serve as a reminder that every human life is valuable regardless of political affiliation, religious beliefs, ethnicity, or personal preferences.

He urged Ghanaians to show empathy to victims simply because they are fellow human beings and not because they belong to any particular group or faction.

"We all need to speak one language—empathy, humanity and hope. Sympathize with people because they are humans first, not because they belong to your favorite faction," he added.

MC Portfolio concluded his message by extending his thoughts and prayers to everyone affected by the disaster.

"Sending light and love to anyone who is going through an ordeal this season. Prayers up for y'all."
