There was no gun in Adwoa Safo’s car, I saw more than 30 bullet holes on her car” – Kwadwo Safo Kantanka Jnr narrates shooting incident

Kwadwo Safo Kantanka Jnr, the youngest son of the late Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo and brother of former Dome-Kwabenya Member of Parliament, Sarah Adwoa Safo, has disputed reports suggesting that his sister fired warning shots during the recent shooting incident involving her.

Speaking about the events leading up to the incident, Kwadwo Safo Jnr explained that following the death of their father, members of the family had agreed to postpone discussions regarding succession and leadership matters until after his burial.

According to him, Adwoa Safo contacted him and requested that he join her and help gather other siblings so they could meet with family elders to understand why an earlier agreement had allegedly been breached. He claimed some family members had moved ahead with plans to install Kwadwo Safo Akofena as the next leader despite the family's decision to wait until after the burial of their father.

He said that while he was preparing to meet his sister, she called him again approximately 20 minutes later with distressing news.

“As I was getting ready to join her, she called back and told me she had been shot,” he recounted.

Kwadwo Safo Jnr stated that despite her injuries, Adwoa Safo managed to drive herself to the Atomic Police Station. Upon arriving at the station, he said he found his sister bleeding heavily and immediately rushed her to a nearby hospital for first aid before transferring her to a larger medical facility for further treatment.

He further disclosed that he observed extensive damage to the vehicle, claiming there were more than 30 bullet holes on the car.

Addressing reports that Adwoa Safo had fired warning shots before the incident, Kwadwo Safo Jnr dismissed the claims as false.

“The report that Adwoa Safo fired warning shots is not true because there wasn't any gun in the car,” he asserted.
