IMANI stopped asking questions when the NDC took office – Miracles Aboagye
Former presidential staffer Dennis Miracles Aboagye has criticised IMANI Africa for failing to hold the National Democratic Congress (NDC) accountable since they took office.
He also slammed the direction of recent commentary on COCOBOD, arguing that attention has been placed on previous years while current issues receive less scrutiny.
In a lengthy response to writer Kay Codjoe, Aboagye claimed that discussions surrounding COCOBOD have focused heavily on financial decisions made before 2025 while avoiding questions about recent developments.
According to him, the most important issues concern farmer payments, producer prices and revenue generated during the current period.
Aboagye specifically questioned what he described as a lack of focus on revenue reportedly collected by COCOBOD in 2025.
He argued that public discussions should centre on current financial outcomes rather than historical explanations.
“The year the farmer price was cut. The year the farmers stopped being paid. The year GH¢39 billion walked into COCOBOD and the farmer never saw it leave,” he wrote.
Aboagye also criticised Franklin Cudjoe and Kay Codjoe, both affiliated with IMANI Africa, claiming that their analysis had not adequately addressed those questions.
