Hajia Hawa Haruna has passed on

The President and Founder of the Afro-Arab Group of Companies, Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu, has announced the passing of his beloved mother, Hajia Hawa Haruna.

According to the family, Hajia Hawa Haruna passed away in the early hours of Monday, 22nd June 2026.

Announcing the heartbreaking news, Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu wrote:

"Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un (Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we shall return). I am deeply saddened to announce the passing of my beloved mother."

In accordance with Islamic tradition, the Janazah prayer will be held at the family house at Kotobabi Abavana at 1:00 p.m., after which she will be laid to rest at the Madinah Cemetery.

Hajia Hawa Haruna was not only a loving and devoted mother to her children but also a mother to many. She welcomed everyone with kindness, offered wise counsel, and extended compassion to all who crossed her path. Her generosity, humility, and unwavering faith earned her the admiration and respect of countless people, making her a cherished maternal figure within her family and the wider community.

Her passing leaves a profound void, but the values she instilled and the lives she touched will remain a lasting legacy for generations to come.
