Bono East Minister commends Yapra Community Bank for meeting capital requirement
The Bono East Regional Minister, Francis Owusu Antwi, has commended the shareholders and Board of Directors of Yapra Community Bank for their commitment and hard work, which have enabled the bank to meet the Bank of Ghana's minimum stated capital requirement.
Speaking as the Special Guest of Honour at the bank's 32nd Annual General Meeting held at Prang, Mr. Owusu Antwi urged management to strengthen its loan monitoring mechanisms to ensure that credit facilities extended to customers contribute to business growth while safeguarding the long-term sustainability of the bank.
He also encouraged residents within the bank's operational areas to cultivate a strong savings culture by patronising the services of Yapra Community Bank instead of keeping money at home. According to him, the bank provides a safer and more reliable avenue for protecting personal finances.
The Acting Chief Executive Officer of Yapra Community Bank, Mr. Alhassan Anyiass, praised the staff for their dedication and hard work, which he said have played a key role in the institution's steady growth and performance over the years.
He assured customers of the safety of their deposits and reaffirmed the bank's commitment to providing quality financial services to individuals, businesses and communities within its catchment area.
Mr. Anyiass further disclosed that the bank intends to expand its loan portfolio this year to support more businesses and individuals. He expressed optimism that the move would enhance profitability while stimulating economic growth and development across the areas served by the bank.
