Isaac Adongo hands over Ambulance to Bolgatanga Municipal Health Directorate

The Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central, Isaac Adongo, has officially handed over a newly procured ambulance to the Bolgatanga Municipal Health Directorate to strengthen emergency healthcare delivery and improve patient referral services within the municipality.

The presentation of the ambulance fulfills a commitment made by the MP earlier this year to address challenges associated with emergency medical transportation in the constituency. Prior to the handover, Mr. Adongo had announced that the fully equipped ambulance was being prepared and branded for official deployment to serve residents of Bolgatanga Central.

Speaking during the handover ceremony, the MP noted that difficulties in accessing ambulances for emergency referrals had become a major concern for many families in the municipality. He explained that patients requiring urgent specialist care in cities such as Tamale and Kumasi often experienced delays due to the unavailability of emergency transport.

According to him, the new ambulance will be managed through the Bolgatanga Municipal Health Directorate and dedicated to supporting emergency response and patient transfers, ensuring faster access to healthcare services for residents.

The donation forms part of Mr. Adongo’s broader efforts to support healthcare delivery in the municipality. In recent years, he has provided hospital beds, mattresses, and other medical equipment to health facilities across the municipality to improve the quality of healthcare services.

Health officials who received the vehicle expressed gratitude for the intervention, describing it as a timely boost to healthcare delivery in the municipality. They noted that the ambulance will help reduce delays in emergency referrals and improve access to critical medical care.
