The colours of the rainbow: a pride for and of the LORD only.
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth, and He said it was good. He created Adam, the first man, and said it was very good. He thought of Adam and blessed him with Eve, the first woman, to give Adam a companion. Creation ceased and things were commanded to behave by His design. Man was to give reverence to the Lord, obey the Lord, and have dominion over all other things created on earth.
God demonstrated the first ever union by blessing Adam with Eve. Fast forward to when men had sinned and God wanted to wipe evil from the face of the earth, He instructed Noah to build an ark and bring with him into the ark male and female of each kind of animal — this was because God was going to send heavy rain to wipe life from the face of the earth.
This was to ensure continuity and procreation after the storm. God could have wiped all people and animals from the surface of the earth and created new ones to fill the earth. But He had finished the work of creation, rested from it, and commanded and blessed them to function. All things were made by default to sustain themselves. The sun to shine in its time; the moon and stars to obey the same and give light; oceans to be; land to keep its fertility; and man to have dominion over all animals, plants, and things created on earth.
After the end of the flood, Noah made a ritually clean sacrifice to the LORD, and the LORD was pleased. God made a covenant with Noah that 'never again will a flood destroy the earth—that never again will I put the earth under a curse because of what people do; that from the time they are young their thoughts are evil.' In Genesis 9:16, the word of the LORD to Noah was, 'When the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between me and all living beings on earth.' The rainbow is a symbol of God's everlasting covenant with all living beings not to destroy the earth with a flood again.
The Old Testament prophet of God, Ezekiel, saw something in his first vision. He saw a figure that looked like a human being sitting on a throne. According to the scripture, in Ezekiel 1:27, 'the figure seemed to be shining like bronze in the middle of a fire. It shone all over with a bright light that had in it all the colours of the rainbow. This was the dazzling light that shows the presence of the LORD.'
In Genesis 19, among other sins, the men of Sodom wanted to have sex with the two men (who were angels) staying at Lot's place for the night. The LORD rained burning sulphur on the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. Even Lot offered his own two virgin daughters to these men to have sex with them, but all they wanted was to pursue the angels and have sex with them. God did not send a flood to destroy Sodom, but fire. This is because same-sex sex is a creation of 'men and demons'—against God's original idea of man and woman—and it is evil.
If you happen to read this today, I want to tell you that one of the most evil ways for someone to mock and rebel against the authority of the LORD is to use the colours of the rainbow, which show His presence and everlasting covenant with living beings, to symbolise or give voice to something that not only fails to conform to His word, but that He hates deeply.
The colours of the rainbow show the presence of the LORD. Therefore I tell you to cease and desist from playing a part in promoting this ungodly agenda—the rainbow shows the LORD's presence and the pride of His sinless and pure nature. Evil and sin are the pride of Satan. Do not represent men sleeping with men and women sleeping with women with God's presence—God has not covenanted with sin.
Do not test the fury of the LORD, for it is dangerous for the LORD Himself to testify against you when you are summoned before His authority.
Repent of your sins and turn to Jesus!
God bless you.
