ACE List 2025 recognises over 100 Ghanaian employers for employee well-being, people-centred leadership

More than 100 organisations across Ghana have been recognised for demonstrating strong commitment to employee well-being, mental health responsiveness, and people-centred workplace practices under the newly published Authentic Caring Employer (ACE) List 2025.

The list, released by Supreme Healthcare Management Services, highlights organisations that have shown publicly verifiable indicators of authentic care for employees through workplace well-being initiatives, supportive leadership practices, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) policies, and people-focused organisational cultures.

According to the organisers, the ACE List is not a ranking, award, or certification scheme, but rather a national pre-qualification directory intended to identify organisations demonstrating positive workplace behaviours and invite them into a formal evidence-based verification process for the EAP Africa Summit and ACE Awards 2026 scheduled for May 16, 2026.

The initiative forms part of growing efforts to promote healthier work environments and strengthen conversations around mental health and employee welfare within Ghana’s corporate sector.

Managing Director of Supreme Healthcare Management Services, Patience Osekre, said the publication of the list reflects increasing awareness among employers about the importance of investing in people and workplace culture.

She noted that more organisations across industries are beginning to adopt deliberate well-being strategies and leadership approaches that place employees at the centre of organisational success.

“Through the ACE List 2025, we are observing substantial progress across industries,” she said. “More companies are adopting intentional well-being strategies and demonstrating leadership behaviours that put people at the centre of organisational success. This list shines a light on that momentum and encourages continuous improvement.”

The ACE Awards 2026 is expected to honour organisations and leaders that are able to translate authentic employee care into measurable workplace impact, productivity growth, workforce resilience, and sustainable economic development.

To strengthen transparency and credibility in the awards process, Deloitte Ghana will serve as the official external statistician for the awards, providing governance oversight, analytics, and global best-practice assessment standards.

The maiden edition of the ACE List cuts across several sectors of the Ghanaian economy, including health, banking and finance, energy, education, manufacturing, hospitality, telecommunications, mining, media, logistics, and professional services.

In the health sector, organisations such as Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Nyaho Medical Centre, University of Ghana Medical Centre, and Tobinco Pharmaceuticals Ltd were recognised for their workplace support systems and employee-focused culture.

The energy category featured major industry players including GOIL PLC, Kosmos Energy Ghana, Tullow Ghana Ltd, Vivo Energy Ghana, and Volta River Authority.

Several financial institutions and insurance companies also made the list, reflecting what analysts describe as a growing appreciation for employee wellness in the banking sector. They include Absa Bank Ghana, Ecobank Ghana, Fidelity Bank Ghana, GCB Bank PLC, Stanbic Bank Ghana, and Standard Chartered Bank Ghana PLC.

Educational institutions and non-profit organisations recognised on the list include Ashesi University, Central University, University of Ghana, and GIZ Ghana.

The hospitality and tourism sector also featured prominently with organisations such as Accra Marriott Hotel, Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra, Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel Accra, Labadi Beach Hotel, and The Royal Senchi Hotel & Resort receiving recognition.

Telecommunications companies MTN Ghana, Telecel Ghana, and AT Ghana also made the list alongside mining firms such as AngloGold Ashanti Ltd, Gold Fields Ghana Ltd, and Newmont Ghana Ltd.

Other organisations recognised include Media General Ghana Ltd, McDan Group of Companies, KPMG, PwC Ghana, and Unilever Ghana.

Supreme Healthcare Management Services said organisations included on the list will now have the opportunity to undergo further assessment and verification as part of preparations toward the ACE Awards 2026.

The company further encouraged employers across the country to continue prioritising employee welfare, mental health support, and safe working environments as part of efforts to improve productivity and build resilient organisations.

The ACE List 2025 is expected to contribute to ongoing national conversations about workplace culture, employee well-being, and the role of compassionate leadership in driving sustainable organisational growth in Ghana.
