NPP Afadzato South gets new constituency office as former vice chairman calls for unity, accountability

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Afadzato South has secured a new constituency party office, marking a fresh chapter for the party after several years without a permanent base.

The development comes as former First Vice Chairman, Hon. Richard Cliff Anatsui, popularly known as “Zaffa,” rallies members to embrace unity and accountable leadership ahead of the local elections.

In a message to polling station executives, electoral area coordinators, and delegates, Hon. Anatsui said he approaches the moment not as a man of wealth but as a servant committed to seeing the party rise again. “I am here not as a man of wealth, but as a servant with a burden, a burden to see our party rise again, united, respected, and truly working for its people,” he said.

He urged members to reflect on what leadership has meant to the constituency over the past eight years. According to him, true leadership is not about empty promises, silence when direction is needed, or division among party members who should work as one family.

Hon. Anatsui noted that the party has endured a period of unfulfilled promises and unequal distribution of opportunities. He said executives were divided instead of united, and critical meetings that should have driven progress never took place. He also revealed that the party lost its rented office and even land entrusted to it due to a lack of effective leadership.

With elections approaching, he warned against the use of money to influence votes rather than develop the party. He stressed that delegates are worth more than token payments and that loyalty and dignity cannot be bought. “If these small amounts of money were channeled into building a strong party, we would be the strongest by now. Real progress is built on vision, unity, sacrifice, and genuine leadership,” he said.

The former vice chairman said he may not be the richest among the delegates, but he offers qualities that money cannot buy. These include the zeal to serve rather than control, a commitment to inclusion, the determination to restore unity, and the focus to rebuild what has been lost. He outlined his vision for a leadership that ensures every polling station matters, every executive is respected, every opportunity is shared fairly, and every voice is heard.

Describing the upcoming election as a rescue mission rather than a personal contest, Hon. Anatsui called on members to choose service over selfishness, unity over division, integrity over inducement, and progress over stagnation. He said the goal should be to reclaim the party’s strength, restore dignity to its structures, and build a party that wins both elections and the hearts of the people.

Hon. Anatsui humbly appealed for the delegates’ support, saying it is for the collective future of NPP in Afadzato South. “Let us rise, rebuild, and win together,” he said, adding a prayer for God’s blessings on the constituency and the party.
