The True Conduct and Identity of the Danquah - Busia Political lineage is Fully Unfolding

Since the humiliating defeat of the NPP, their conduct reveals a group of people who have no respect for the citizens who gave them the mandate to govern.

Any serious group would reflect on what contributed to their defeat. However, because they feel entitled and all-knowing, they continue to disrespect everyone while still expecting votes through lies and propaganda.

It also appears they are either hallucinating or still dazed. These are people who lost the 2024 election disastrously due to the absolute disrespect they showed to the citizenry. Instead of being remorseful and civil, they continue to provoke citizens with cacophonous noise.

It is evidently clear that the Danquah-Busia political tradition is anti-Ghana. These were people who tried to derail Ghana’s independence through sabotage and sycophancy. This group has consistently positioned itself as an enemy of progress.

They were allegedly involved in violent acts, including bombings, and spread falsehoods about Ghana’s founder, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, until his government was overthrown.

Similar conduct was displayed during the regime of General Kutu Acheampong. They supported the palace coup that brought General Fred Akuffo to power, believing he would hand over power to them through a pending general elections.

However, Flight Lieutenant Jerry John Rawlings intervened by overthrowing the Supreme Military Council II led by General Akuffo. Rawlings handed over power within three months to Dr. Hilla Limann, who won the 1979 presidential elections and formed the People’s National Party (PNP) government.

Rawlings later returned and overthrew Dr. Limann’s government after just twenty months in office.

Adherents of the Danquah-Busia tradition did everything they could to overthrow Rawlings’ PNDC military government but failed. When the ban on political activities was lifted, it led to the birth of the Fourth Republic.

The Danquah-Busia tradition re-emerged as the New Patriotic Party (NPP), led by Prof. Adu Boahen. Rawlings transitioned into civilian politics and led the National Democratic Congress (NDC), alongside allied parties such as the National Convention Party (NCP) and the Eagle Party.

Unfortunately, Prof. Adu Boahen lost the 1992 presidential election. The NPP then encouraged a boycott of the parliamentary elections, which ultimately benefited Rawlings, whose affiliated parties secured overwhelming control.

During their years in opposition, the NPP frequently criticized the NDC government, often accusing it of mismanagement. Prior to the 2000 general elections, there were incidents of insecurity, including reports of market fires and the discovery of murdered women, which created fear among the population.

The NPP capitalized on public concern by promising to restore safety, a message that contributed to their electoral victory.

The Danquah-Busia tradition appears to have mastered the politics of fear, distraction, and propaganda, often accompanied by actions that undermine state institutions.

Before the 2016 elections the Central Medical Store was burnt and it remains unresolved, with no known prosecutions.

Given this history, some have speculated about incidents such as the explosion at the GRIDCo control station at Akosombo, though no official evidence has confirmed deliberate sabotage. Nonetheless, the restoration of power by engineers from GRIDCo and the Volta River Authority deserves commendation.

Their swift intervention, which brought all six turbines back into operation within a week, demonstrates the resilience and capability of Ghanaian professionals.

The ingenuity displayed by these engineers deserves national recognition. It is a testament to the fact that whenever Ghanaians are challenged, they rise to the occasion.
