Mahama begins Eastern Region tour with May Day address and key projects
President John Dramani Mahama is in the Eastern Region as part of his nationwide Resetting Ghana Tour.
The two-day visit, which began on Friday, May 1, will conclude on Saturday, May 2.
As part of the tour, the President is expected to address the National May Day Parade at Jackson Park in Koforidua, where workers from across the country have gathered to mark the annual celebration.
According to the Presidency, he will also take part in a Citizen Engagement Town Hall Meeting on Saturday at the ICGC Jesus Temple at Adweso, near Jubilee Park in Koforidua.
On the first day of his visit, President Mahama is scheduled to cut the sod for the construction of a multipurpose hall and a hostel facility at the SDA College of Education at Asokore in Koforidua.
He will also break ground for the construction of a 24-hour model market at Asesewa in the Eastern Region as part of efforts to boost local economic activity.
