May Day: Labour remains central to a prosperous economy — Vice President
Vice President Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, has reaffirmed government’s commitment to placing labour at the centre of Ghana’s economic transformation.
She said workers across the country continue to play a key role in national development through their dedication and sacrifice.
The Vice President shared the message in a social media post on Friday, May 1, on the commemoration of the International Workers' Day.
“This May Day, we honour the hardworking men and women of Ghana whose dedication and sacrifice continue to drive our nation forward,” she stated.
Professor Opoku Agyemang said government, under President John Dramani Mahama’s “Reset Agenda,” remains focused on building a resilient and inclusive economy.
“As we advance the Reset agenda under the leadership of His Excellency, President John Dramani Mahama, labour remains central to a resilient, inclusive, and prosperous economy,” she said.
She further assured that efforts are underway to expand opportunities, promote fairness, and improve livelihoods for workers.
The Vice President commended Ghanaian workers for their service and contribution to national growth.
